On Tuesday, April 9, the Spring Farmers Market returned to Carnegie Mellon.
Vendors at the Spring Farmers Market included Sinful Sweets, The Refillery, and PGH Dumplingz. Baked True North sold a selection of gluten-free baked goods. Other vendors set to make an appearance on April 16 include Baked True North, The Cheese Queen PGH, and Synthesis.
Vendors surrounded the perimeter of Legacy Plaza, between West Wing and the Cohon University Center. Students got to experience foods and products from local Pittsburgh vendors that they wouldn’t typically have the opportunity to shop at. One booth offered students sunflowers as “Farmers Market Bucks” to use at vendor stands.
The location made it easy for students to access and explore the market between classes. The market will return to Legacy Plaza on April 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A makeup date for the April 2 Spring Farmers Market has yet to be announced.
