Fire
A small trash fire was reported smoldering in a trash receptacle near Doherty Hall. FMS extinguished the fire with a portable extinguisher. No police action was taken.
Suspicious person
CMUPD responded to a call from Fifth and Clyde house for a suspicious person possibly carrying a weapon. CMUPD officers cleared the area, with nothing being found.
Access device fraud
A Carnegie Mellon student reported a lost wallet as well as unauthorized credit card charges. CMUPD is investigating.
Theft
A Carnegie Mellon student reported the theft of her delivered Insomnia cookies from Mudge House. CMUPD is investigating.
A Carnegie Mellon student reported the theft of his unlocked scooter near Doherty Hall. The student had left the scooter leaning against a trash container. CMUPD is investigating.
A Carnegie Mellon student reported the theft of his bicycle from the Hall of Arts bike racks. CMUPD is investigating.
CMUPD would like to remind Carnegie Mellon students that it is important to always lock bikes and scooters to bike racks in order to prevent theft.
