Why are you running for Undergraduate Student Senate?
The Undergraduate Senate is an organisation that gives students a forum to make change for their fellow students and the CMU community as a whole. By becoming a member of this prestigious organisation I look to work for the betterment of the Tepper student body and bring about positive developments that improve the university experience in a holistic manner.
To you, what is the purpose of the Undergraduate Student Senate?
The Undergraduate Senate is by the students, of the students, and for the students. It holds the special power of gaining a pulse on the feelings of students across campus and accordingly working for their betterment. As such, the Senate holds the heavy responsibility of ensuring that the students and their wants are well represented and aptly considered in making change on campus.
Why do you consider yourself qualified to serve on the Undergraduate Student Senate?
I believe that over the last semester and a half, I have been able to develop a bond with the student community here at CMU. I have heard compliments and complaints alike for the many factors that play into the student experience on campus and have gathered a plethora of experience by being involved in different facets of CMU culture. As such, I believe that I can do a good job in representing the students and their concerns and by extension, work for their betterment in an effective manner.
