1) 14×3 warmup set, class notes
To get started and make yourself feel like you’re studying, it’s always advisable to begin with a light set of reading the professor’s lecture notes. More likely than not, these will be incoherent garbage, or bizarrely formatted PowerPoints with nothing to be gained from reading. Guess you should have taken better notes throughout the semester. Whoops!

2) Nine sets of homework review
If you’re lucky enough to have a teaching staff that grades on time (defined by Carnegie Mellon as “within the current election cycle”), you might have some old graded homeworks to review. Make sure to go through these and realize how many points you could have earned if you’d submitted regrade requests.

3) Two sets of 2019 Final Exam
For some reason, the professor thought that something from the pre-COVID times was gonna be useful. This is a highly strenuous exercise for the strong of mind only, as it will leave you wondering how the hell the course has changed so much so quickly. Are students just stupider now?

4) Drop set of Khan academy
This hypertrophy-based movement involves “dropping” the weight every set so that you’re pushing your mind to absolute failure. Begin with a full Khan Academy video, then 75 percent of the next video, then 50 percent of the next, and so on until you can’t stand another solitary instant of Sal Khan’s voice.

5) Study until failure
If you’ve never had a proper training coach, you probably don’t know what failure feels like. When you think you’ve given all you can, that’s only about 50 percent of what you got in the tank. Unleash the dog within. Crush that Celsius, get your stamina up, and keep grinding. As don’t come for free. Study until your eyes are bloodshot and your toes are numb. Study until you see strange swirling patterns of color patterns in your laptop screen and you start hearing demons crawling through the walls of your room, scritch-scratch, scritch-scratch. Then you can sleep, once you’ve earned it. This will certainly result in quality studying, and you are sure to remember much.
