Sometimes I forget
You let my heart break
Just sat there and watched
Then went on your way
Then I remember
It comes rushing back
And I feel the same pain
Guess I fell for the trap
It’s hard to imagine
A future alone
But now thanks to you
That’s all that I’ll know
And I just don’t get
Why you said what you did
Leaving room for hope
When there’s none of it left
How could you just turn off your heart
You’re acting like there was never a spark
We burned out, we burned fast
Was I naive to think this would last
And I don’t get why
You told me you loved me
Just hours before
You planned for our future
Drew hearts on the door
And now you’ve left me
Out in the cold
I’m collateral damage
In your tale of woe
It came suddenly
Now I can’t breathe
So I need to try somehow
To just let you go
