Women’s Volleyball
On Nov. 21, the Carnegie Mellon volleyball team opened the 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship with a 3–1 win against SUNY Cortland on Thursday at Johns Hopkins University. Sadly, the team then lost 0–3 to Johns Hopkins, finishing their season 20–12.
Men’s Basketball
The Carnegie Mellon men’s basketball, ranked 18th nationally, defeated Penn State Behrend on Monday, Nov. 18 at the Highmark Center for Health, Wellness and Athletics with an 84–62 score. The Tartans are now 3–1 while the Lions move to 2–1.
Women’s Basketball
The Carnegie Mellon women’s basketball team extended its winning streak to five games with an 81–43 victory at home against Oberlin College on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The Tartans are now 5–0 while the Yeowomen are 2–3.

Women’s Swimming and Diving
The Carnegie Mellon women’s swimming and diving team competed in the first day of the Total Performance Invitational at the Kenyon College on Thursday, Nov. 21. The Tartans ended the first day of the three-day meet in fifth place out of eight teams with 260.5 points.
On Nov. 22, they competed in the second day of the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon College. The Tartans ended the second day of the three-day meet in fourth place out of eight teams with 687 points.
Men’s Swimming and Diving
The Carnegie Mellon men’s swimming and diving team competed in the first day of the Total Performance Invitational at the Kenyon College on Thursday, Nov. 21. The Tartans ended the first day of the three-day meet in third place out of eight teams with 406.5 points.
On Nov. 22, they competed in the second day of the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon College. After the second day of competition, the Tartans are in third place out of eight teams with a score of 1002.5.
The Carnegie Mellon University men’s diving team hosted Case Western Reserve University for the CMU Diving Invitational on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23. The Tartans competed 11 dive lists on both 1-meter and 3-meter springboard.
Football
The Carnegie Mellon University football team had 22 players receive All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) distinction, announced by the conference office following voting by the league coaches. The Tartans placed six on the first team, eight on the second team, seven were named honorable mentions, and one was honored to the sportsmanship team.
